NAGALAND TRIBAL TOUR

Nagaland is a state in Northeast India. It borders of Assam to the West, Arunachal Pradesh and Assam to North, Myanmar to east and Manipur to the South. The state Capital is Kohima and the largest city is Dimapur.

The state is Inhabited by 16 types of Tribes, these are,Angami,Ao,Cahkhesang,Chang,Dimasa,Khiamniungan,Konyak,Kuki,Lotha, Phom,Pochury,Rengma,Sangatam,Sumi,Yimchunger and Zeliang.The Naga speak various distinct Tibeto-Burman Languages, including Anal,Angami,Ao,Chakhesang,Chang,Lotha,Mao,Maram,Phom,Pochuri,Poumai, Phom,Rengma,Rongemi,Sangtam,Sumi,Tangukhul,Thangal and Zeme.The dress up of all these Naga Tribes are similar.Agriclture is the most Important economic activity and the principal crop include Rice,Corn,Milets,Pulses,tabaco,Oilseeds,Sugarcane,Poatato and other significant economic activity includes forestry. Day 1: Arrival at Dimapur-Kohima

Arrival at Dimapur Airport/Railway station, Our representative met there, Assist You, board the waiting Vehicle, proceed to Kohima(68 kilometres,3 hours driving),Check in the Hotel, after noon is relax on your own activities. Over night at Kohima. (The capital of Nagaland)

Day 2: Kohima-Khonoma

After breakfast, Check out the Hotel, proceed toTo visit the tourist place around Kohima of The world war second Memorial and State Museum, Later transport to Khonoma Village, Khonama is an Angami Naga village. Khonoma is Asia’s first Green Villages. Check in the Guest House. Over night at Khonoma Village.

Day 3: Khonoma-Khonoma Tribal Village-Khonoma

On this day, after breakfast, to visit Khonoma Tribal Village, you will visit there life style of the Tribes. After you will visit, the unique water system, where the water is piped long distance using bamboo. Over night at same Village.

Day 4: Khonoma-Touphema

After breakfast,Check out the Home stay, transport to Touphema(58 kilometers, 3 hours driving).Arrival at Touphema,Check in the Touphema Home stay, After noon, you will visit the Museum at Touphema Village of Traditional Jewellery,Dreses,Arts and Crafts. Over night at Touphema Village.

Day 5: Touphema-Local sightseeing-Touphema

On this day, After breakfast, Full day excursion in Touphema Village, This villge has been exclusive built for the Tourists to help them understand the life style and history of the people Here, The best part about the village is that, tourist can stay in Huts. In Huts Tourist can sleep and bath. The Angami tribes are very friendly, they help you to guide nearest peak and paddy field for visit.

Day 6: Touphema-Mokokchung

After breakfast, Check out the Home Stay Guest House, transport to Mokokochung (112 kilometers, about 5 hours driving), on the way at Wokha (Wokha is town and Municipality in the state of Nagaland), you will explore the the Wokah Town, Later arrival at Mokokochung.Check in the Hotel at Mokokochung.over night at Mokokochung.

Day 7: Mokokochung-Local sightseeing-Mokokochung

On this day, after breakfast, proceed to Mopungchuket, this village is belongs to “Ao” Naga Tribes in Mokokochug district in the state of Nagaland. Here you will visit Museum,Church,A Tower(The village is associated with legend such as Jina and Etiaben,called the Romeo and Juliet of the Ao Naga Tribes tower commemorating this story is prominent feature of the village.) and later visit the Doyang Lake. Over night at Mokokochung.

Day 8: Mokokochung-Tuensang

After breakfast, Checkout the Hotel, Transport to Tuensang (88 kilometers, about 4 hours driving).Tuensang is the Largest District Nagaland bordering Myanmar and is located the highest Peak of Nagaland and Mount Saramati, Arrival at Tuensang, check in the Hotel, and after noon is relax on your own activities.

Day 9: Tuensang

After breakfast, you will explore the Tuensang (it is called also the Mini Nagaland, because it the big are having 4 district), You will visit different tribal villages of Sangtams, Cahng, Yimchiungrs and Khaimniungans.Later you will proceed to visit, The State Animal of Nagaland (Gayal).back to Hotel over night at Tuensang.

Day 10: Tuensang-Mon

After breakfast, Check out the Hotel. Transport to Mon (58 kiolometers, 2 hours driving, on is a town and town are committee in the Mon district in the Indian state of Nagaland).This is the land of Konyak Tribes, who once were known as Headhunters having Tattoos over their face and hands. This Tribal people also know famously for their muzzle loading Guns, Arrival at Home stay at Mon.over night at Home Stay.

Day 11: Mon-Tribal villages-Mon

On this day, after breakfast, full day excursion in Konyak Tribal village. Over night at Mon.

Day 12: Mon-Jorhat

On this day, after breakfast, Transport to Jorhat, Arrival at Jorhat, Check in the Hotel. After noon is relax on your own activities. Over night at jorahat.

Day 13: Jorhat-Departure

On the last, day of your tour, check out the Hotel, transport to Jorhat Airport/Railway Station, drop dawn there, for your onward journey.
